The kickdown (rod)

I went to my car to check on a few things again. One of them was to see if the kickdown rod still fits when I put the carb spacer in. Well, it doesn't so that's crap. I will need to fix me a new kickdown rod...
I did check out how it exactly works which was good.

Here's a little movie to see how the kickdown works.

The kickdown rod gets pushed in at WOT (Wide Open Throttle). With the adjusting screw you make sure the rod gets pushed nearly to the end of movement with about half a millimeter to spare.

The kickdown actually kicks the tranny down 1 gear so that you get a boost in speed.

We visited Ilse and Cassie in their new home this evening. I loved their new place and it was fun seeing them again :-)

The black back

I thought I'd better make some pictures of my travels because in a few months I won't be going here anymore after we move to the new office. I'll miss this for sure...

On a forum I saw this Mustang's back-side and I love how it got painted black. I'm gonna do mine the same.

Work took me out to the new 007 movie "Spectre". It was great, I enjoyed it very much!

The coolant tank

More work on the floor. Takes ages cutting tiny bits for these things.

I filled up the coolant in my Corsa and noticed there's stuff in the coolant tank... Can't be right. Maybe I should order a new tank and replace this one...

In the afternoon we had a party for Milan's upcomming birthday. Quite a few people showed up and it turned into a lovely afternoon :-)
