I saw a ball fly past... I think.

This is where Amsterdam rubbish is turned in to steam, clean steam. Website. Every bit of waste gets turned in to something useful. The heat is used to produce energy. Metals etc. get preserved, harmful stuff gets picked out and stuff that doesn't really burn gets turned in to asphalt. There is only steam coming out of those chimneys.

I went to Alkmaar to investigate what is involved in making a new shower. This is a shower drain that I just adore. It's gonna be my saviour for this project I think.

Then I went to the DIY store where I worked for 7 years during my studies to look for a shower cabin. A nice one is expensive! Anyway, I worked this isle 7 years.

I worked this isle for 7 years too. Basically I worked the whole back of the shop: Wood, gardening, doors, roofing, tiles and plumbing.

I used my dad's bike to get around. I hadn't cycled for a while, it felt funny. It was nice to ride through the park again.

My parents' back garden.

I played tennis with Ilse and Cassie in the afternoon. It was quite warm (not as hot as in Adelaide but still...). A good effort was put in by all, which is commendable.

My and Ilse.

Me and Cassie. Who absolutely wiped the floor with me (she was a child-tennis-star and obviously still has the touch). Why is it that such a little person can ace me and all my balls hit the net? Hmmm....

On the way back in the train. I was tired and had stuff on my mind.

Driving through the grass lands.

The Elastic band was playing in Mulligans!

The new toilet-roll dispenser.

I watched RoFed win the Australian Open men's final this morning.

Then I did dishes. Finally.

My mom and dad came to drop off a few things.

In the evening I had dinner at Wagamama with friends. On the way from Waga's to Mulligans we passed this poster.

Close to Mulligans I noticed this sign. I thought it was pretty gigantic.

In Mulligans for Danny's birthday party. It was nice and quiet and peaceful.

I had a chat with The G.

Regular readers may remember the photo I posted two days ago. I don't know if I had any influence...

I went home early at 21:30 or something. I feel tired.

I wanted Justine to win...

I watched the ladies finals of the Australian Open in the morning. Pity Justine didn't win.

Then I went to the supermarket.

I watched big tractors during dinner.

Holland is a tractor-pulling country.

My new bed. It's kinda big I think...

Breakfast at Scoozi's

This morning we went to Scoozi's for breakfast with some of my colleagues. This are Mohit and Nicole.

This are Luke and Natalie.

Cyclists were swarming around us all the time.

The fairy was there again too! I love the fairies. They're crazy :-)

On our way home we spotted beautiful (not) golden heels. They were also two sizes too big. Unfortunately the photo shows nothing of it all...

Early evening I played a game of tennis with Stephen. Very sweaty.

The scorch

This is the weather forecast for the coming week. There are THREE consecutive days of 41C!! It's gonna be a long, hot week. Luckily we only have to work four days because tomorrow is a bank holiday here (Australia day).

Early morning we went to Rundle Street to have breakfast at Scoozi's.

On the way home we passed parts of the Tour Down Under.

Mid afternoon I walked Mason for half an hour.

He was happy sniffing the trees again.

Looking everywhere.

Understanding how to walk around a pole is still a bit hard sometimes.

We saw Caesar.

I watch a fair bit of the tennis here these days.

Jelena Dokic is one of my favourites on the women's side.

She's making a bit of a come back.

I found this funny picture earlier this week but forgot to post it. It's the funniest cat picture I have ever seen, seriously. I love it.

The tennis season has started

Not a lot happened today. This was the best thing by far. Steve and I played one set of tennis which I won by 6-3. It was good to be doing some sport again. I'm feeling a few forgotten muscles now ;-)

Apart from this I did some studying and Nic and I went for a drive early evening. Back to slavery again tomorrow.

Didn't see any sharks today.

Tennis/clouds/switch

It was time for some sporty business again today. Stephen and I stepped on to the tennis court for some tennis action. Here you see me focussing on where to plant the ball in Steve's court.

Despite all my planning I found my game mediocre and I gave half of my games away in unforced errors. Incredibly frustrating. Steve won the one set match with a score of 7-5. At least we hopefully burned some fat today...

To celebrate that we can sweat for someone else's profit again tomorrow we went out for dinner. I drove us to Henley where we went to "Evida", an Italian restaurant/cafe that we discovered last weekend. On the way there the sky was set on fire by the setting sun. Stunning.

The place was nice, the food was nice and there were a LOT of people. Some kid had his christening and his mom turned 40. They were Italian. They were also rather loud. At one point my left ear actually starting making a noise of it's own. Thankfully only for half a minute. We still had a good time nevertheless.

When we came home I put a switch in the wire of the little christmas lights. It made Nicole very happy. I was thrilled as well.
