In the afternoon Eva (left) asked if I wanted to come along to Cake loves coffee. I was done painting so I did and there we met Cristina (right) who happened to be there as well. It was a fun little visit, nice to see Cristina again :-)

In the evening Marjolein, Laurien and Ruud (from left to right) came over for dinner and a game of trivial pursuit. I made enchiladas which were pretty nice if I may say so.

We had tons of fun. I can't remember having laughed so much! Thanks guys for a wonderful evening! :-)

Yeah, today definitely qualified as a very good day!

The wait

One bud on my rose is opening now :-)

I went to get a coffee. The machine told me to wait. WTF? No coffee machine tells me to wait! Pfff...

The painting

I took my drum kit apart this morning.

Ruud and Laurien bought it from me. I hope they'll be happy with it :-)

It was dry today so I thought it was an excellent opportunity to paint my outside walls. This is before...

... and this is.... when I ran out of paint :-/

Mr. Mic.

My colleague Geert turned 30 years today. He brought cupcakes! My colleague Paul brought cupcakes for his birthday as well but he did not turn 30...

I had dinner at Waga's with Mic.

Then we went to Mulligans where we had drinks and lots of laughs which was great :-)

The squash

Only one thing was important today: the squash tournament I organised at work. 18 players, 1 admin and a photographer went to the Frans Ottenstadion here in the dam. First we had dinner together and then we played games of squash against eachother. The last of the three hours was a knock-out tournament so that there would be one winner. My colleague Ivo won the trophy I showed on my blog the other day.

It was an awesome night and everybody seemed to have enjoyed it a lot. Good effort by all and if they allow me I'll do one again next year!

The bowls

I went to the doctor first thing this morning. Probably something pressing again the nerves that go to my thumb. Let's give it some more time. OK.

Then I picked up the trophy for the squash tournament I'm organising for work tomorrow night.

In the evening I went to Haarlem to visit a bowls club. I saw this apartment building in Amsterdam on the way there. I love it.

And then, I bowled! I went to bowls clubs "Ons kinnehim" in Haarlem. They recently hosted the first official Dutch open with countries participating from all over the world (Scotland won I heard). It was fun but I'm not sure yet. It's all very different from Australian "Night owls" bowling...

When I came home I noticed that the first flower on my rose is opening up! It's full of buds :-)

The mothers day visit

Oh, what's inhere?

It's my bowls! I'm going to check out a club tomorrow. I'm praying that there will be some young folks as well.

I travelled to Alkmaar by train for mother's day.

My mom also invited my cousin Margriet. My aunty Jo is her mom and she's not doing well at all so it was very kind to invite her I think.
