This morning/afternoon I made good progress working on my power supply. The circuit works alright (it performs in 2 scales: 0.6-7V and 3-30V) but I do have to check out the heat situation. The end transistor (not in the picture) is going to need a lot of cooling and possibly the bridge rectifier too.
In the evening we had a very nice BBQ at Karin and Gavin's place. We stopped at the new park nearby first. They've been working on it for very long and it's now finished and al the animals are back.
Mason was happy as always and he couldn't keep his hands off of me.
Here we see Amy and Ash posing with a wax statue of Gavin that we borrowed from Madame Tussauds ;-)

Special bulletin - The secret of happiness revealed!
Finally, the secret to being ultimately happy has been cracked. Of course, this small fact was already known to me. How else could I be so utterly happy! Now, I want to share this wisdom with you, the readers/viewers of my blog.
The secret of happiness is revealed in this article.

I like.
I write computer software in the building behind me. I like.
I buy sandwiches at places I've never been before. I like too.
I see architecture and people I've not seen before. I like.
I like that the geek-electronics shop is open late so I can buy tools (in this case a carbon-steel (= harder than stainless) cutter) and parts in the evening.

Zeeburg in Adelaide
This building is right opposite my work. I think it looks cool if photographed under the right conditions. It could easily fit in an area in Amsterdam called "Zeeburg".
The view down the street. It was a rainy day.
Lots of cars when driving home.
This particular dickhead's car was polluting beyond belief. You see many cars like this in Adelaide, they're called "bombs". It's no wonder Australia is in the top of polluting countries...
Guest bloggers Marion and Kees took this picture for me in Denmark. They saw the car and thought of me (or probably better: my blog ;-) right away. Thanks guys!

More work?
Yesh! More work. In the form of mowing the lawn. This time the front of the house. This is the "before" picture.
I forgot to make a "after" picture so you'll have to do with an "in between" picture.
I also started soldering parts for my power supply today. Ever since I started working not much gets done for some reason ;-)
In the afternoon Stephen kicked my tennis ass by beating me in 2 sets: 6-3 and 6-4. My excuse: I was REALLY tired from playing World of Warcraft so late last night ;-)
