The new year's dinner

There was a beautiful moon hiding behind the smoke (which is actually steam...)

After work I went to Mulligans to meet up with friends. We were going to have a little new year's dinner and a wee drink :-)

There were Danny, Marjolein and Gerrit.

As well as me, Mic and Jos. Nice evening but you can tell we're getting old coz almost all of us left at 10PM ;-)

Halloween 2013

I quickly shot this photo while walking to the tram stop. I like it.

In the evening Marjolein came over for dinner and then we went to Mulligans for halloween. She wasn't the only devil, Paddy was one too!

40 years of Vincent

Chocolate caramel pie at work for my birthday. I turned 40 today.

Lots of colleagues came to collect a piece. These guys always show up: Geert, Guido, Wim and Norbert.

One of my pie's biggest little fans, Ilse. She's only little but she eats the biggest pieces, awesome, best customer ;-)

The outfit (Tee and glasses) was a gift from Tanja. Yeah, thanks! haha

I left work early coz I took the arvo off. There were 2 Egyptian geese with a baby. Baby was playing Superman.

I was meeting people pre-dinner in Mulligans. When I got there Nicole and Marjolein were waiting for me already. Lovely welcome :-)

Later Danny and Patricia joined as well.

We walked over to Wagamama at 18:30 according to my tight schedule.

Gerrit brought me a little bottle of whisky. I believe this is not a bad one!

Had a lovely dinner at Waga's.

Then it was off to the pub where I was surprised by my good friend Jan who rocked up all se way from Sjermany!

Jan, Nancy (= Jan's sister) and Mic. We had a very full table and when people left, others would come in and join us. I had a terrific night, especially because my girlfriend Simone dropped by for a bit as well. She looked fantastic. I was very happy to see her :-)

At 3AM Nancy and I were kicked out together with Ruud and Laurien who arrived after the pics were taken. I haven't been kicked out of the pub for a while ;-)

Danny gave me a comic that looks real cool! The tubs with chocolate goodies are from Nicole, whisky from Gerrit and a T-shirt from Mulligans. I keep telling people not to buy me a gift but some just can't resist ;-)

My first car is a '73 Ford Mustang!

I went to Barneveld by train with Danny this morning.

I had a second look at the 1973 Mustang. I also took a testdrive. Nice!

And now it's mine! :-) My first car owned by just me.

Safely (fingers crossed) parked underneath Gerrit's flat.

The day was a bit stressful so I don't have any good quality pictures of the car. I'm sure there will be more soon! :-)

I went back up to Gerrit's place to have a cup of tea and to wind down. Marilyn was there, too.

When i got home I had 1 hour to eat and then Ruud came to pick me up for a concert.

We went to see The Electric 6 in De Melkweg.

It was sold out, people were crowd surfing.

The concert was good but some people in the crowd were really, really, really stupid...

Dinner @ Thaicoon

Went out to dinner for Marjolein's upcoming birthday last night. Jos, Danny and yours truly here.

Dinner was at the "Thaicoon", a thai restaurant close to where Kees lives. Here we see yours truly, Marjolein, Kees and Gerrit. The food was great and so was the company :-)

Afterwards we went to Kees' place to sample a few whiskies. This "Hibiki" is a Japanese whisky of 17 years. Was very nice! (About 100 Euros per bottle)

This is a Scottish single malt from Blair Athol. Was OK.

I was a bit early for the ferry so I sat next to the water a bit. There was a ducky keeping my company. Well, not really, it was having dinner there...

After work I met up with Kees, Danny and Jud. Jud piloted a flight from the USA to Amsterdam and had an evening to spend with friends here. I imagine he's got a lot of friends in different places.
