The loading zone

Plant.

We had brunch at Scoozi's. Pizza FTW!

And a cappuccino.

After a very relaxed morning we had to get stressed in the supermarket. I thought the loading zone looked cool.

I picked untouched apples.

Our shopping. A lot of healthy stuff I think. No sugar things, no crisps.

Apparently Sméagol shops at our mall as well. Didn't see him though. Must've been looking for his presciousssss.

I spent a very large part of the afternoon on the veranda. I sat in the sun and read a book. So relaxing.

Feeding time.

YWALK

I was out of coffee at work. I don't use the overpriced, maintenance hungry espresso maker so I have to get my own beans and get them grounded. While waiting I looked at some other coffee and my jaw dropped when I saw this. $135.00 for 500 GRAMS of coffee beans. And these are not even the ones that come out of a monkey's ass!

Oh, and get this. The girl serving me didn't know what half of 26 was. I couldn't believe it and I thought I misheard when she asked her colleague. But then when she told him the calculator was broken and she asked again I asked her what the problem was because her colleague was busy. She needed to know what half of 26 was. I told her 13 but I should've said 9.50. This girl was over 25 and she works a cash register...

At least I got my ground coffee. It was pretty alright.

I went to Victoria Square for lunch. Some company had their yearly 'sports' day there. They did all the 'fun' stuff. Like walking on planks with 4 people at the same time. ho-ho-ho.

They took over half the park. Intruders!

I like the Aboriginal flag (on the left) 1000x better than the Australian flag (on the right). It has so much more meaning to it. I don't like the union jack at all. It reminds me of English tourists trashing Amsterdam.

After work Nicole picked me up and on our way home we saw a car with the plate "YWALK" which phonetically sounds like "Why walk?". Nice one.

After a quick dinner at home we went to the beach. The water was a bit dirty and I didn't find my ring but it was nice nevertheless :-)

Nicole floating about.

Me under water.

Afterwards we sat on a little sand dune and watched the sun set while drying up.

Picking up the last rays of sun light for the day.

The light on the clouds was beautiful.

And cappuccino at Vili's afterwards :-)

Driving

On our way to work this morning we passed this car with the plate "Venom 2". It belonged to a snake catcher according to the sticker on the side. The guy in the car looked like Hulk Hogan. It was funny.

My working day starts by waiting 10 minutes for Windows to start up.

While it was doing so, I got coffee. I'm happy with my little cheap coffee maker that requires hardly any maintenance.

The drones were out on their way to their master.

After work I caught the bus to Lawn Bowls.

I was skipper tonight meaning I guide my team mates to victory! Well, I did my best but we lost by only two points.

This is Tony. He and Gavin are our best bowlers at the moment.

I had a few excellent drives tonight. Using two drives in two different ends I turned 7 points against us in to 3 points in our favour. It was exciting.

The choir

Today two colleagues and I went to demo software that we had been working on. We did this at the client (one of Australia's biggest oil/gas companies). This was the reason we busted our asses off the last couple of weeks. It paid off. The meeting went well. We have a little less pressure now.

I spotted this plate while driving to work.

I spotted this choir singing Christmas songs in Rundle mall when walking from work to PJ's.

A new spot for lunch

As we were leaving to work I quickly made a photo of these two little doves. They are about 1.5 months now I reckon. One of them was born somewhere else and seems to have taken the place of one that actually was born here. We have no idea where the other one is.

For lunch I walked to Victoria square again but all the benches with shade were taken apart from one that was just occupied by pigeons. I chased them off and sat there for two minutes but they kept walking and flying close to me. So I went and sat under a tree in the park.

It was actually much nicer under the tree on the grass.

You see that bench? That's where I sit sometimes unless it's too hot.

After work we went to PJ's. Because everybody decided to order at the same time it took very long for our food to come out. The nice barman came out and brought us free drinks worth $13 though.

Walking back to our little car we saw this tank. I mean, seriously...

This is the park inside the city opposite PJ's.

Hugs and kisses

The mother dove, who is currently sitting on a new set of eggs, having breakfast with one of her other kids. But the kids are now able to find food themselves and mom absolutely doesn't care about them anymore and actually starting pecking at it when she thought it was stealing too much of her food. It's funny how things go in nature.

On the way to Office Works this morning we saw a P plate truck driver.

At Office Works we bought new ink cartridges and a new chair for Nicole. Her old one may be bad for her back so we're going to try this one. It's a rather luxurious leather model (that behaved very unfriendly when putting it together.).

After this we went to a branch of my bank in Norwood that was open on Saturday morning where I took care of some business. We also went to the supermarket there and we saw this little band playing.

Then we dumped our shopping at home and went past Jaycar and Bunnings.

On the way home we drove behind this car with a 'XOXOX' plate. That's a lot of hugs and kisses, the girl who was driving it must've been extremely friendly.

My Jaycar and Bunnings loot for today: Black stuff to paint certain fountain parts with. Some screws. A set of imperial taps to fix the holes in Nicole's chair that were tapped crappy, a little fountain pump, another container for parts and a magazine full of car ads to keep up to speed with current prices.

Powerrrrrrrrrrr supply V3

We went into town this morning. Nicole wanted to look at mobile phones. We went to Meyer first. It's like the Dutch store called "Bijenkorf".

In the parking garage underneath there was a lot of "bling".

On the way home we stopped at Office works where I bought some plastic sleeves for all the papers at my desk. It's all cleaned up now :-)

Just after 17:00 we went to the Lemon grass Thai restaurant for dinner. I needed Thai food. It's just the best. I think it's my favourite restaurant in Adelaide at the moment. It's the third building from the corner, not that you can actually see that with my camera (phone).

It's really close to P.J. O'Brien's which can be seen from the same spot.

On the way home we stopped to fill up the car. AU$ 1.59 per litre today.

The times that we were at home today I worked on my power supply. First some redesigning. I'm still going to use two voltages but different ranges. The "Low" range will be 0.75-7.4V and the "High" range will be 5.5-30V. Click on the picture for a much bigger picture that's actually readable if you're interested.

Then I had to change a few bits on the board I had made before.

And then I put the board in the case. After taking the photo I actually also soldered all wires to the front. So now I have to put the transistors on the heat sink, mount it, wire it and then test it. See if anything explodes or not. You never know hehe.
