Checking out a hood

This morning I went to check out a standard Mustang hood that was for sale for 150 euros. I was hoping it would be good but unfortunately it was not :-(

Rust all around the edges where the inner and outer metal is welded together. I wouldn't know how to fix that...

And inside there was rust as well. No way you can spray stuff like rustoleum in every corner so it's really a lost cause, sadly...

So I went back to my garage without the hood but also not having spend money on something worthless.

I hung up my Guinness mirror.

I also replaced more molded shelves with new ones (that will probably also get moldy as long as the humidity doesn't go down...)

I started marking spots where the metal poles for my first floor have to be. At least that felt like progress...

First spot!

I got to work so early that I got the first spot on the first deck! The best thing is that this means traffic on the way to work must've been really good :-)

In the evening I had drinks and bites with other people who bought or rent a garage where I do. It was quite nice to meet some other folks. When I left I saw this old water tower.

The crow

Simone and I went walking again tonight, quite windy but who cares, it was dry. This crow was trying hard to hold on. Soon after i took the photo he had to let go...

The painting

I went to my garage tonight and painted a bit more. It's a lot brighter than before. The humidity is pretty bad. It hit 84% while I was there. I really need proper ventilation.

Feeling the love

I thought it would be a nice idea to go look at some furniture shops with Simone so we took off early arvo, not knowing that the whole planet would turn out to be one massive traffic jam. Dus to a few bad accidents and roads being closed for work it was mayhem out on the roads, everywhere! We were routed through little villages not being able to drive faster than 30 km/h. Just 1 kilometre from out destination we had to turn the car around because we had to already go back home. CRAP!

But back at home all the stress goes away when you see this and all you feel is love :-)
