Food, cars and coffee

I baked an egg for Milan this morning. Since I don't eat egg myself I had only once before made a scrambled egg. This was my first ever normal baked egg. I think it looks lovely. Almost wanted to eat it myself. But I'm scared I'll puke :-/

After some chores I sat down in the garden to enjoy the few hours of semi-warm weather outside. I heated up the lovely tomato soup that Simone made yesterday and I bought some nice buns and I had my favourite literature ;-)

When Simone came home I gave her a little present that I went to buy just before. She's wanted one of these coffee makers for soooo long now. She was very happy with it and now she thinks I'm crazy ;-)
We tried it twice today and I have to say it does make a fab cuppa joe! Also the creamer is sweeeeet. Lovely cappuccino!

Dinner with Eva ;-)

Gulls like to look for fish behind the ferry.

I sat on a bench in the sun during lunch. I had a bloody cold today :-/

Thankfully I wasn't sick enough to cancel my date with Eva. We went out for a meal at I Trulli. Apart from needing to blow my nose every 10 minutes we had a lovely evening eating outside.

FLICKR ME

Waiting for the ferry. So exciting. I nearly wet myself that's how exciting it was...

Mr. Wilson had docked. Nice medium sized ship.

Lunch. (chicken Siam)

I'll blog you, is that OK too?

Fine dining.

Works in Amsterdam takes ages. They can never finish something quickly here. These tram tracks have been opened up like this for a few weeks now, just waiting for the next phase to start. In the meantime it's a big slowdown for traffic. Very annoying.

Croissants!

With the iPhone OS update yesterday came the ability to zoom in. It's a crane!

My lunch.

After work Ilse and Cassie picked me up to go to Ikea. First we had lunch at Mc D.

And desert at Ikea hee hee hee.

Mowing the lawn

Mason is our guest again today and tomorrow. So we brought his bean bag over. He loves it.

I fixed my lawn mower and got rid of the most grass ever. I only got half the garden done because now the bin is full... Will resume on Wednesday.

I had a chicken curry pie for lunch. It was good!

The farewells.

The garden when we left the house to go to my work for the last time in Australia.

Crossing the lights on King William Street. On the left you can just see a bit of the "horsey" statue where Nicole has dropped me off many, many times.

Instead of having farewell beers after work I asked people to come out to lunch with me. And not to some schnitzel place but to Hotel Richmond, where they make fantastic food in fantastic portions.

These people were discussing make-up...

I had the carpaccio for starters...

... and the pistachio filled chicken breast for main. It was delicious.

This used to be my desk.

And this used to be my office.

When we came home we fed Mason. He was a good boy.

I played Google Maps :-)

I thought I'd play a bit of Google maps today by photographing my journey to Victoria Square. It starts after I crossed the street.

Past a restaurant that sells foie gras (BAD!)

Crossing Pirie street.

In to the tunnel. The entrance of this tunnel is actually behind the white car in the picture above.

Out of the tunnel. I hate that pillar. It's so in the way there. It's just too much in the way. So stupid.

Past the church.

And there is Victoria Square.

That's the old post office.

Crossing the street in to the park.

The fountain with on the left the absolutely beautiful Aboriginal flag.

Todays destination, ready for action.

Lunch. Matar paneer and channa masala. Oh, and a paratta.

Fire trucks driving around as usual.

Lunch view. It was nice and sunny, which was surprising because there were lots of clouds. It had rained during the morning even.

On my way back I went in to the candy store.

Back to the office I experienced a "moment in Amsterdam".

Mexican.

I went to the Mexican for lunch today. They sell mexican things. (incase you were wondering)

I got myself some enchilada. It doesn't look the best but inside it has: beans, chicken, diced tomato, sour cream and lettuce.
