I took the bus to Simone from the new platform behind Central Station.
I had never been here. I like it!
I can see different bits of town now.
Great views :-)
Skies close to Simone's place.
In the evening we went to a party. The birthday girl turned 40 and had organised a couple of things. One of them being brasilian dancers. In this picture they are ordered by cup-size. The girl on the right was obviously Dutch. They danced very well!
And then this drum band came in and my eardrums nearly blew up. Sweet mother Mary that was loud. It's loud when you hear them outside. Try them indoors...

The second proteine diet, day 25.
Inspired by yesterday's dinner I used some of the same ingredients for tonight's dinner. It was lovely and very healthy!
I'm now going to adjust to normal food again. That way the diet will be over just before Christmas :-)

The second proteine diet, day 24.
My little fake bonsai tree at work has given up. One of the trunks is rotting away and it can't manage anymore. It tried making a few new branches but it was too late. It's gotta go now...
After work I went to Mulligans. I saw a contraption from the Amsterdam Light Festival.
In Mulligans it was nice and quiet and all the Christmas decorations were up again. Very cosy :-)
Because of my diet I'm not drinking alcohol. I had to stick with diet coke and cups of tea. Crap...
Gerrit and I went to Wagamama for dinner. I don't think Gerrit smiles for pictures ;-)
Of course I couldn't eat just anything, it had to kinda fit my diet as well so I got this salad. It was delicious!
After dinner we went back to Mulligans. My old friend Birgitte also dropped in. She lives in Melbourne and is visiting for Christmas. It was nice to see her again. On my way home I saw the Christmas tram!

The second proteine diet, day 23.
After work Simone and I taxied between the kids' schools. First Milan's school where they had Christmas dinners.
And then Larissa's school where they had a Christmas market/fundraiser.

The second proteine diet, day 22.
Darkness after work. I discovered a big problem in our software this arvo and I'm not happy about it...
I made me a real dinner again, lovely steak and veggies. I'm slowly going back to normal food now. My body needs to adjust to more and normal food again in a way that it's not gonna store everything as fat again.

The second proteine diet, day 21.
Simone made a cake. It's called "Arretjes cake" in Dutch. I have no idea how to translate that in to English, sorry. It's basically made of biscuits covered in chocolate sauce and it's awesome. You let it sit in the fridge to stiffen up, it needs no baking.
Not something I can eat during this diet unfortunately...

The second proteine diet, day 20.
Today Milan played his first ever baseball game with his team from the NORTH STARS. Since it's winter and bloody cold outside, it's indoors.
It was a tournament between 3 baseball clubs and they organised a few things for the kids. They all got a ball which could get signed by 2 Dutch baseball players playing for teams in the USA. I have no clue who they were ;-)
I am really impressed with the way they handle the kids, especially the North Star's coaches. I hope Milan will enjoy playing baseball very much :-)
