The red brigade

On our way to work we drove behind this piece of shit for a while. At first I thought that maybe we were a few cars behind a steam-locomotive because of the smoke it vomited in to the air constantly. But no, it was a truck from Sita "Environmental Services". I think they deserve some of my email time for this...

My regular sandwich place was closed for unknown reasons today. I put my plan B in to action. I went to Cibo next door.

After work I walked to PJ's through Rundle mall where I passed the mall's balls.

Rundle mall.

We had our last dinner at PJ's for now. The bartender George who totally makes the place is leaving. Aside from that the main chef can't work due to a broken foot and the other chef quit unexpectedly. The chef working today started two days ago.
They are definitely not attracting any new customers with their food today...

Opposite PJ's they set up a big fair. It's the Adelaide Fringe festival.

Afterwards we had gelato with a view.

In the evening I talked with my mom and dad a bit.

PJ's was fun!

After work I walked to the pub and I ran in to this dead dinosaur. Or maybe it was a replica. I think his flesh had melted off the past week or something. Maybe that's how they got extinct. Maybe. Yeah. I don't know. Do you know? Or do you just -think- you know? Who knows? Nobody can tell. It's one big secret. Just like my pin code. That's a secret too. And the colour of the queens underwear. Nobody knows about that. If you know, can you please tell me?

We went here to meet with Stephen and Caroline and...

... Michelle and Ryan. It was really nice to have dinner with all of them again. We had lots of laughs and it was really relaxing. Oh, and my parmi and three pints of Magners was also very good.

Now we're back at home with the air conditioner on. But tonight we're gonna try and sleep with the door open and the fan in front of it. I'm very scared of mosquitos.

The first coffee

Nicole driving off after she dropped me off. No, she is not speeding.

I finally was able to use the coffee machine I bought for work. I still have to figure out how to make a nice coffee. The first batch was too weak and the second too strong. One of my colleagues made a cup that he liked a lot he said...

Walking to PJ's after work.

Nicole arriving at the PJ terrace.

We had bird shit on our car. You need to remove bird shit fast coz it can stain badly. So we took the car through the car wash on our way home.

We received quite a few CHRISTmas cards this time around.

The flying snowman

One of our cacti has a big-ass flower at the moment. Very pretty.

The Christmas tree is all done. It just needs to get hooked up to the electricity now.

The fountain was off, AGAIN. I don't know why it's off so often. Anyway, there was a ducky swimming in it. It swam towards me but when it realised my phone was not food it swam off again...

After work I walked to PJ's. Rundle mall is full of Christmas decorations.

Like the big Santa...

... and the flying snowman.

When I got to PJ's it was still quiet inside.

The terrace was full though.

Pretty soon Nicole came in as well.

Half an hour later it actually started filling up a bit. It's funny how that goes.

When we left we saw this bicycle with a little engine. There a few of these driving around the city. I think it's a little bit lame...

And tonight, on the first day of summer, the moon makes a smiley face : )

The über bruschetta

During lunch I went to the post office to buy stamps so I could post my letters to some ministers regarding the 44 mln dollar they want to spend on a mandatory internet filter. It was busy and it took all of my lunch...

So I ate less during lunch. I knew that after work we'd go to PJ's again where we had bruschetta. So much tomato. Mom, I ate all that tomato, are you proud of me now? ;-)

The art-tarts

The fountain was being cleaned so it was off. Two guys were actually sitting in the top but I didn't photograph them.

Christmas is coming and you WILL know it!

Monday night = PJ's night.

There was this person sitting next to me and she just kept staring at me...

Bruschetta. It's just amazing.

While we were eating our main's this group of art students came in. It went like this: BLAH BLAH BLAH DEE BLAHBLAH. BLAH? AHUH BLAH. BLAAAAAAH BLAHBLAH. OH BLAH. BLAH BLEE BLUH BLOH BLAH. BLOOB BLOOB BLAH DEE BLAHAH. BLAH.
Incredibly interesting conversation. I'm sure they're just lovely people once you get to know them.

I just got bitten by a mosquito damnit.

Christmas decorations are starting to show up every where. Even next to my work. I can't believe I'm already labelling Christmas stuff. Time has gone very fast.

Monday night = PJ's night. It was spent outside. No garlic bread anymore but instead more healthy bruschetta. Can't believe I ate nearly a whole tomato and I liked it!

Guinness is good for you!

A company called "Vermeer" (that's Dutch) was drilling a new pipe in to the ground at Victoria square.

Because of this I sat on the other side. I think also because of this the fountain was turned off.

View up King William Street.

After work I went to chu.... naaaaahhh. I went to the PUB!

On the way there (Karin, are you paying attention?!) I spotted another golden Toyota Corolla with spoiler even.

Now that we have daylight savings it's light enough for even my camera (phone) to take photo's inside the pub. Even though they make it look like it's the middle of winter.

I had a pint of Guinness for a change. I was starting to get withdrawal symptoms. Not good. Guess who's going to be smelly tomorrow? ;-P

Nic checking the menu. At P.J's they make amazing bruschettas. Just delicious. It's a small piece of toasted bread with a TON of tomato on it and cheese and basil and olive oil. I don't even like tomato usually but this is simply fantastic.

Happy birthday Ilse! :-)

Today it's my sister's birthday so everybody go over to her blog and wish her a happy birthday! :-)

I installed my new monitor stand first thing when I got to work. It looks quite nice. (Also notice my new coffee mug! ;-)

In the morning it rained a lot and I had to go out and buy us fruit.

I went to the Woolworths in Rundle mall.

I'm not buying kiwi fruit any more because nobody eats that in the office. Too messy probably. So I bought four apples, four pears, 5 mandarins and 15 bananas.

Yes, I do take pride in presenting fruit nicely.

After work we went to PJ's. There was a nice girl working behind the bar. A nice change from the usual blokes. Staff at PJ's ain't bad all together. They're all pretty good. Sofar I like the Scotsman George and this girl, Joanna I believe, the best.
