Meeting Nicole

This evening after work I met up with Nicole and some friends (Kees in this photo) to have dinner and a few drinks.

The macarons

Nicole is over for a little holiday and we met up for lunch. It was nice seeing her again.

Before I left I bought some macarons. Could...not...resist.

On my way to Simone I walked through a new part of Central Station. They've made a fancy shops street underneath. As you enter, there's a huge screen which shows a live-feed from outside (in between advertisements...)

Never forget the good times

I've put my Choppermeister up for sale today. Parting will be difficult. I've had great times with it. Most enjoyable rides and rides to forget my pain several times. But I'm not using it anymore and it's just gathering dust so it has to go.

I met Nicole after work. She's in the Dam for a little vacation. We took the ferry to meet up with Gerrit and have dinner.

I don't usually take this ferry. Great views here.

Central Station.

We went to an Italian resto. The starter was fantastic.

Nicole brought me and Gerrit a little gift. I love this stuff and it's hard to come by here. It was lovely to see Nicole again. We all laughed a lot. Never forget the good times.

The farewell

I had dinner with these two lovely ladies tonight.

Melissa and Nicole.

Nicole leaves to Adelaide tomorrow. Permanently. I hope things will work out for her finally. She's earned a lot of respect with the things she's done and the knowledge she's gathered over the past years.

Farewell ducky. I wish you lots of love and happiness.

Nicole's farewell party

I setup my Christmas tree at work today.

Sylvester to the rescue! ;-)

Fini.

Close-up with twinkles.

Eva came over in the evening. I made us pancakes. This was the first one I baked. I must've been thinking about someone special...

After the pancakes we went to see Nicole in a pub close by where she had her farewell party. In this photo: Marjolein, Nicole, unknown dude, Suzanne and Jon.

Reading this pub's cash register's most left column made me happy ;-)

Happy birthday Ilse

This morning I dropped in to Nic's shop for the very last time as she's closing up and selling. Soon there will be a new girl working the shop. I picked up some things and handed in the spare key that I used to keep. It made me feel sad.

Then I couldn't do what I had planned to do which kinda sucked so I went to my family a bit sooner. Lovely Alkmaar noord.

I cuddled with Pip. She was very excited and playful. And stinky ;-)

Not sure about this photo. My family can never look normal. Especially never all at the same time!

This is Poema, one of Ilse's cats. She liked my lap.

And these birds hang on the fence outside. I like them.

In between dinner and dessert I went with Ilse to walk Pip. There is a whole "Dog walking subculture" I was totally unaware of. Kinda cool.

And there were horses too. This one had something on his nose.

This one didn't give a shit.

And this one came almost running towards me. Prolly thought I had food on me, tough luck ;-)

40 years of Vincent

Chocolate caramel pie at work for my birthday. I turned 40 today.

Lots of colleagues came to collect a piece. These guys always show up: Geert, Guido, Wim and Norbert.

One of my pie's biggest little fans, Ilse. She's only little but she eats the biggest pieces, awesome, best customer ;-)

The outfit (Tee and glasses) was a gift from Tanja. Yeah, thanks! haha

I left work early coz I took the arvo off. There were 2 Egyptian geese with a baby. Baby was playing Superman.

I was meeting people pre-dinner in Mulligans. When I got there Nicole and Marjolein were waiting for me already. Lovely welcome :-)

Later Danny and Patricia joined as well.

Vincent's angels, 13-09-2013 ;-)

We walked over to Wagamama at 18:30 according to my tight schedule.

Gerrit brought me a little bottle of whisky. I believe this is not a bad one!

Mickey and Nancy.

Eva and Mic.

Gerrit and Patricia.

Mickey, Nancy and Martijn, who joined later.

Had a lovely dinner at Waga's.

Then it was off to the pub where I was surprised by my good friend Jan who rocked up all se way from Sjermany!

Jan, Nancy (= Jan's sister) and Mic. We had a very full table and when people left, others would come in and join us. I had a terrific night, especially because my girlfriend Simone dropped by for a bit as well. She looked fantastic. I was very happy to see her :-)

At 3AM Nancy and I were kicked out together with Ruud and Laurien who arrived after the pics were taken. I haven't been kicked out of the pub for a while ;-)

Danny gave me a comic that looks real cool! The tubs with chocolate goodies are from Nicole, whisky from Gerrit and a T-shirt from Mulligans. I keep telling people not to buy me a gift but some just can't resist ;-)

Cruisin'

I went cruisin' today to empty my LPG tank some more. I figured out my car runs 1 on 5 (on LPG). Got LPG down to 7%. The plan is to take the whole LPG thing out soon and make the car run on petrol only again. Can't wait...

Afterwards I went to see how Nic was doin. She was hanging in there...

Patricia @ Cake Loves Coffee

I started working on my work bench today but I was so out of it from yesterday still that I only managed to get 2 sides of the frame done. In the picture you only see 1 side btw...

I met Patricia at Cake Loves Coffee where we had cakes and coffees and tea and apple juice and pizza. It was very nice to see her again! :-)

The rainbow

This little ray of sunshine was at my bus stop this morning. She farted.

The real rays of sunshine made me a (double) rainbow when I walked up to the ferry. It came closer and closer. And so was the rain, I realised soon...

I took this photo on my way home. Pretty light.

I went to get pizza for dinner. Nicole was still working, she was way too busy. I bought her nuggets and we had dinner at her shop. I gave her a hand with the dishes so she could leave a bit sooner. She works hard. Very hard. Too hard probably :-/

The cd from The Lasses arrived with the mail today. Lovely songs by 2 girls that frequent my local pub.
