Raymond and Joyce came to visit me!

They are still the lovely people they've always been. It was a very nice visit.

They brought me presents! Very useful presents too. I like a lot :-)

Orchid update for my mom!

The cleaners are on strike. Street cleaners this time...

In the evening I went out. Kees arriving at Mulligans.

There was a pretty good bluegrass band playing at the pub. There were good friends and we had a lovely time.

It was late when I left. I walked home.

A crane was taking apart bits of the Giro d'Italia.

The cleaners are striking again. Well, different cleaners this time. Now the streets aren't being cleaned. Great...

I took my Magic cards to work. The one game I played I lost though...

It was a tremendously exciting day at work. We got new Spa bottles... Thrilling.

Because a lot of people had the day off today it was very quiet at the ferry.

The scare.

My colleague Sylvester came to offer me lollipops. I didn't take any, I don't want the sugar.

I went to the war memorial service that is held every May 4th at 8PM. There is a 2 minute silence and the royal family is there as well. The lady in the short skirt is princes Maxima. In front of her is our crown prince Alexander. Then a lady who I did not recognise and then the Dutch queen Beatrix.

Unfortunately this happened (filmed by someone standing about 10-15 meters to my right.) and I hid behind a truck. Other people climbed on top of a police car so that they wouldn't get squashed. Some moron started roaring and scared people. A small fight started and a briefcase was dropped. People got scared and a panic made the mob move aggressively in my direction...

Hiding behind the truck... The 2 minute silence was actually beautiful, until the screaming started.

A second flower opened on the orchid my mom gave me :-)

I dropped Eileen off at Schiphol in the evening. Not cool.
