The glasses

I went for a run again this morning. The wind was ferocious! Nevertheless, I only had 2 1 minute breaks instead of 5 so that was a big step up. It doesn't show in the time it took due to the wind :-(

In the evening we visited my mom and dad. I tried on my dad's glasses. Sexy no? ;-)

Hanny, Simone's mom, made this painting on wood for my folks. I like it a lot :-)

Happy birthday mom!

It's my mom's 70th birthday today! Unfortunately she had to cancel all festivities due to the flu :-(

The book

My book on Holley carburetors came in and I picked it up. I hope to learn more about calibrating my own carb. Maybe the cause of the startup troubles can be found this way...

The new year's dinner

There was a beautiful moon hiding behind the smoke (which is actually steam...)

After work I went to Mulligans to meet up with friends. We were going to have a little new year's dinner and a wee drink :-)

There were Danny, Marjolein and Gerrit.

As well as me, Mic and Jos. Nice evening but you can tell we're getting old coz almost all of us left at 10PM ;-)

The dead animal

So I'm in the supermarket and at the check-out this woman in front of me had something lying in her basket that looks like a dead animal or something... Yuck.

The crappy day.

Too much shit going on at work. Too many meetings too. Can't get my work done that I'm getting paid for. Let's forget about today...

The shelves

I ran again! And I loved it. Takes only 30 minutes and in the morning it peaceful and quiet outside and in the park. I'm already looking forward to the next opportunity.

In the afternoon we cleaned out the shed to replace and add shelves. big-ass shelves. Somebody collects soccer balls ;-)

It took me all arvo cutting the shalves from the remains of an old cupboard.

Simone managed to get all the bicycles in there including my new bicycle! I'm quite pleased with the results of today's work :-)
