Every bread you take.

A very large Wisteria (also called "Blue rain" in The NL) on our way in to town.

Eileen and I had breakfast at a lovely breakfast place (Vlaamsch broodhuys - Eerste Constantijn Huygensstraat)

It was completely full. The food we had was delicious but they had run out of croissants which was a great pity coz I really wanted one...

In the evening we went to one of Jon's Daiquiri parties. George (far right) was in charge of the fires. He likes being in charge of the fires ;-)

Marjolein in front of the lamp that was brought outside.

Queensday 2010

Walking towards town we walked past my new apartment. Close-by is this wall painting that is rather artistic. The writing is done in such a way that it seems like it's straight from the view point of where I was standing but it's actually painted on in perspective. Very clever.

Walking over the Rozengracht. Because the weather was really shit there weren't as many people as in other, sunny years.

BBQ-ing was a bit difficult.

Lots of smoke curtains here.

There were lots of boats out and about. Mostly with orange-dressed alcohol consuming people in them playing loud music. Good.

The narrow, red painted house is what many people believe to be the smallest house in AMsterdam but this is not true since this is only the BACK of another, bigger house! Many years ago I organised the first European #Cafebleu meeting in the house on it's right though.

The fun fair was on Dam square.

More boats at the "Munt".

Eileen in Mulligans sipping on an alcoholic beverage. We spent a lot of time in there and had Thai dinner in between. Time well spent!

Mr. Crow.

One of my neighbours thought it was a good idea to hang a rug outside... A little crow was mighty pleased with it.

It was a very sunny day today. I walked outside in short sleeves!

In the afternoon I walked to the hospital in the sun, very warm.

There were geese bathing in the sun.

Awesomeness.

To start with absolute awesomeness galore:

Lady Gagas "Bad romance" performed by On the rocks.

Some of my colleagues had a small fire fighting crash-course this afternoon. They can now officially put out a paper bin-fire! I feel so fucking safe now like you wouldn't believe it. Especially because I'm sitting right next to one of them!

Fanta Zero does NOT HAVE ZERO SUGAR like Coke Zero. Still, only 12 calories ain't bad.

I discovered a little city beach. Someone was walking a dog there so it must be accessible. Imagine the kind of party you build there...

The first signs of Queensday 2010 are showing. All my orange clothes are at my parents unfortunately :-/

Clubs around the city are getting ready as well.

It's a church!

I only took one picture today; on my way to work.

OK, I made another picture after I saw that my orchid started flowering. It's very pretty. Actually, it was still closed when I left the house this morning...

Software to log your farts.

My fake bonsai (further called "fakesai") made it to my work safe and sound. The fakesai brings good zen to my desk. I feel it likes it there. And I like it too.

A close-up of my screen. I had a bit of a geek giggle when I saw this. Hee hee hee.

I just popped the pear cider I bought at IKEA last weekend. It's very nice.

Thank god I'm not pregnant otherwise I would not be allowed to drink it!

The fake bonsai.

This is the "bonsai" I bought at IKEA yesterday.

It looks lovely and I am pleased with it but I found out today that it's not a real bonsai but a fake one. They used the roots of some plant and grafted ficus on it and that's it. I guess that's why the leaves are still large. But anyway, it will be a lovely plant for at work, I'll be very happy with it :-)

For dinner I made pancakes. Mmmmmh!
