The BBQ

Are people that put their bottles on the conveyor belt in the supermarket getting extinct yet? Coz I think they should!

I "made" coat hangers... It's nothing but it's still a big improvement as I no longer need to use my cross trainer as a coat hanger now ;-)

I now have 2 shelves dedicated to my Australian adventure. It looks nice.

Gerrit at Danny's BBQ. And also Danny's cat who seems to be deciding to eat Gerrit or not...

Danny kindly invited people to come over for a BBQ. It was nice to hang out a bit. From left to right: Gerrit, Kees, Danny and Marjolein.

Kees mastering the "electric" BBQ. A small flame occurred.

But it then turned in to a bit bigger fire.

And then it found the sardines... Very.. oily sardines...

Meet the Swan family.

These swans like to sit next to the path to work. Beautiful birds and also very big. They hissed at the little boy coz he wouldn't leave them alone. I don't think the boy realized how close he was to serious injury. Parents were no where to be seen of course...

I ran in to Marjolein and Nantko.

Flowers in my street. Quite awesome ones too.

At work we spotted a wasp nest. It got exterminated today. Don't want too many wasps flying around, it's bad for concentration...

Container student housing on my way back.

The "Sirius" from Greenpeace.

I ran in to Marjolein and Nantko at the station. Nantko looked a lot better!

I went to dinner with my friend Eva whom I forgot to photograph... The Italian restaurant was pretty damn good though, slightly fancy but who cares? :-)

Not bloody responding.

Not happy... (program is not responding)

My colleague Geert master-cheffing away in out kitchen.

I went to the pub after work because my tram wasn't driving due to the Dutch soccer team being in town. It was rather busy and I wasn't looking forward crawling through this crowd...

... then I remembered about no trams driving and I walked in the middle of the road. Passing all creatures of habit (aka sheep) who walked on the sidewalk.

The orange hordes came very close to my house today. But it's the last time for the next 2 years so it's OK :-)

Return of the champions.

At work we had a power outtage today. First only partially. I was lucky ( ! ), my computer still had power...

But then later mine had to be turned off as well... Poor me.

While I was on the ferry the Dutch soccer team just arrived. Their aircraft was escorted by 2 F16 fighter jets and it flew a low circle over the city. Pretty cool. One of the F16's was actually painted orange for the occasion.

The X-files.

This picture shows the light that comes in to my little house. It's quite a lot of light for a place like this.

I finally framed the cocky-girl feather. I love it. It's a beautiful memory. I hope she's OK because I accidentally set her free...

These are all my folders. I finally have my paperwork organized.

In the evening I walked to the pub to watch Holland play the soccer final. Hordes were walking to Museumplein where the biggest mega-screen of Europe was placed to watch the soccer.

I couldn't believe it, Kees was wearing orange and he hates soccer.

Lots of tourists in the pub also wore orange.

And then Spain won... Well deserved I must say.
