I got a bag :-)

Morning clouds. It was warm today because the wind was Northerly. Which means it comes from the desert.

We had breakfast in town. We also did some shopping and I saw one of my favorite street artists. This guys is cool to watch. Nicole wanted to touch his hair BADLY! ;-)

One of the mall's balls.

We went to the Crumpler shop because nicole wanted to buy me a birthday present.

I saw a bit of a show where some girl wormed her self in to a glass cube. She was pretty good.

We also went to the central market.

Then we had a short break at home. We are calling this pigeon David Bowie because she has two different colored eyes. One is very bright and the other is very dark. She seems to use both. She loves to peck our toes for some reason. And also hands. Well, in my case she loves my silver ring...

After a short break we got the car washed and cleaned and we drove it down to the Croatian Club to make photos of it for when we sell the car. Luckily we managed to do this while there was still sun. It's raining again now and will do so for a few days I believe...

This is the bag Nicole bought for me. It's for my little netbook and its accesories. It will also hold travel documents and lots of other handy things. It's also very safe. I love it very much :-)

Geek-Risk

Three o'clock beer. Coopers dark ale is very nice.

I organised a game of Risk in the evening. Here we see Justin, Ben and Dale.

Dale, Natalie and Luke.

This is an old version of the game. Beautiful board though but old crappy rules.

I had a great time. Ben won the one game we played eventually.

The Royal Show 2009

Today we went to the Royal Show 2009! It started by dumping our car in the royal parking. We were not the first ones that day.

We walked in on the fun fair side.

On a day like this it's all about having your priorities straight. So I went to the Adelaide Famous Poffertjes immediately! The poffertjes lady had added little olie bollen to the menu which were absolutely delicious! Warm, not too dry but crispy on the outside and covered in powder sugar. Good stuff!

Then we went inside. There were flowers...

Gardens...

Bonsai trees...

Cakes...

Bread...

Toys (LEGO!!!!)...

But as with all things that were only about fun when they started, commerce has gotten a strong foot in the door and so you will also find ugly people selling even uglier clothes in their ugly shops. It was like Albert Kuijp and Kalverstraat combined. Awful.

There were also animals, like black and white cows...

And brown and white cows. I always wondered what happens with a cow when her udder is full. Apparently when it gets too full, milk production is halted. I was pleased to hear that because I've been worried about cow's udders getting painfully full for a while...

There were also old engines.

And sheep...

That produce wool of some sort.

I think certain readers that like to spin their own thread are getting very excited now. I took these photos especially for you, ladies :-)

There were also goats. These babies have short hair...

And these guys have long hair.

OOoohhhhh... aaaahhhhh....

When we had seen everything we of course stopped by the Adelaide's Famous Poffertjes house again for a second round of goodness.

Then we walked back to the car. This guy was wearing an awesome suit. Love it.

After a short break at home during which i did all the paperwork to get my stuff shipped back to the Netherlands, we went to Henley beach.

The day was too beautiful to just let pass and i felt this urge to get in to the water.

It was fantastic but the water was very cold.

I went in with just my flippers.

Afterwards we had coffee and cake and God made a rainbow on my table to say eating all the bad stuff I did today was O K.

Mexican.

I went to the Mexican for lunch today. They sell mexican things. (incase you were wondering)

I got myself some enchilada. It doesn't look the best but inside it has: beans, chicken, diced tomato, sour cream and lettuce.

My dinner

I made ham/cheese toasties for dinner.

During my dinner I watched an episode of Star Trek.

I also had a pint of milk. You can take the Dutchie out of Holland, but you can't take Holland out of the Dutchie...

The heels

My biggest fan at work was back in the office today. He was in Melbourne last week with that laptop. A guy from the client walked past. This was the conversation:
Client: "Wow, that's an awesome photo! Who is it?"
Colleague: "It's a colleague"
Client: "Oh, that's creepy!"

I walked to Woolies during lunch. No fashion show today but!....

I got a taste of Amsterdam when walking back to the office!

My lunch. Not bad I think.

The office decoration Nicole once made for me. I think it's actually the only decoration in the whole office, sadly enough...
