The John O Gods

I went shopping in the morning and I scored a broodje rookworst at the HEMA.

I received my first Christmas card! It's from Ruud and Angeli. Thanks guys! :-)

The band John O Gods played in Mulligans, it was good.

I met Renate, whom I before only knew through electronic communication.

The sky.

The sky in the morning when I went shopping. I feel like a hermit today. I just can not get out of the house. Been out too much, want to stay in. And I'm tired too, from being sick. Well, not sick anymore but you know...

Mr. Tong's.

First things first. I installed World of Warcraft again, touched all my characters and am now ready to get back in on 25ms latency instead of 600ms...

In the evening my very, very, very kind friend Stephens Collins invited me for dinner at Mr. Tong's.

That's Stephen on the left and Daniel on the right.

Marina, Jon and Amy.

Kees and yours truly.

Barry, Anna and Nantko.

We had to wait for our food a bit long but when it came out, there was plenty!

Yanko also dropped in.

My new iMac has arrived!

I got THE phonecall today. My iMac arrived and was ready to be picked up. So I ran to the tramstop ;-) Of course the bridge was open...

I took it home in a taxi. Wasn't gonna carry 16 kilos around town. Nice discrete brown packaging...

Inside it was the gorgeous iMac box.

And inside the box was the even more gorgeous brand new iMac.

27" iMac, Intel i5 quad core, 4GB RAM and 1TB HD and an ATI Radeon HD 4850 with 512MB video RAM.

Late arvo I walked into town. I was meeting Mic, Nantko and Marjolein for Thai dinner.

Nantko, Mic, Marjolein and I joined a table quiz at the pub that night. We didn't suck too much and it was fun.

And on the way home the bloody bridge was open AGAIN!

Lunch at Wagamama

A pica pica was looking for little insects in the tree in front of my house.

I went in to town to get Sinterklaas presents. My inner me started demanding food.

I went to Wagamama where I was the first customer of the day as they had just opened.

It rained all morning, the chess board was empty.

My chicken katsu curry arrived soon and I enjoyed it very much.

In the meantime two people had started a game of chess. Eventually white made a mistake and "gave away" his queen. Stupid.

I felt like a dessert and have developped a liking for banana katsu. I think I pretty much eat everything that is crumbed and deepfried.

On my way home the bridge was open.

I worked on my Sinterklaas poem a bit. Fourth verse is almost done.

Rain, rain, rain.

I needed shopping, so it was raining. This is my street btw.

I needed to cross this bridge, so it rained on the bridge.

Surprised it wasn't raining in the doctor's waiting room.

I spotted this poster. Several software companies are making money off of this. I cannot believe it hasn't been implemented yet, they've been trying for 5 years now and it's still no-where...

The fake steak.

My beautiful Aboriginal art work in front of god-awful Dutch weather.

I thought I had bought real steak. I was looking forward to some real, nice and juicy steak. Was making it with one onion and one paprika.

I recently learned of a nice trick to cut the onion. Must put a saucer at the bottom neext time ;-)

All ready.

And nearly done cooking.

I thought it was weird that there was no blood coming out during the cooking. Disappointment all around after cutting a "steak" in half and I found out it was actually made of the same stinking mince that they make all bloody meat products from at Albert Heijn. Not gonna happen again!
