Life came down hard on me this morning. I caved in for a bit but then I bounced back.
I went to IKEA and while waiting for my tram I saw that they had started renovating an old shop-front. Underneath the ugly wood that was always there were old lead-glass windows. I really hope they'll restore them.
I did a selfie on the tram. Just for kicks.
I bought extra drawers for in my new Expedit cupboard.
I met my buddy Ruud in the arvo and we took a train to Eindhoven to see Kraftwerk in concert!
First things first though!
The show was in the "Evoluon". That is a building created by Phillips which functioned as a technology museum but now has different functions. It's a concrete saucer but surprising enough the sound quality inside under that concrete dome was amazing! Might have to do with all those shapes on the ceiling. There was zero echo! Sound was crystal clear.
The start of the show. They displayed 3D images and movies on a big screen behind them.
Tour de France.
The Evoluon from the outside.
Yours sincerely and Ruud.
The concert was amazing! So privileged to see them play. They did only 4 shows of 1200 people each.
I worked from home today to take my IKEA delivery. I made a bit of room...
The truck! They arrived exactly between 10:53 and 13:53, as they said they would ;-)
When I was done working I quickly went out to buy 2 plants to put in later. I want a bit more green in my house, not just in the window. I started putting the cupboard together as soon as I got home again.
I can see squares!
Voila! It separates the living room from the bedroom now. I like.
I am mighty pleased with it! Lots of unused space still. Those drawers can hold all kinds of loose crap lying around. And in the middle there is a little whisky square ;-)
It started raining yesterday and it's still raining as I'm writing this in the evening. It rained all-fucking-day.
In the afternoon I went to my car to look at a few new things I wanna do. One of them is take out the rear lights and remove some rust around the opening. They did a shit job when they re-painted my car (before I bought it) and just left the lights in. It doesn't look good and rust is bad so it needs some TLC.
I cooked meatballs in the evening and....
This is the end result: A wonderful kale and potato mash, meatball and sausage. The mash was nice and creamy and the meatball soft and tasty. Job well done!
