The cars

It was the coldest morning sofar this fall.

Brrrrrr...

At home it was warm and Silver was keeping a close eye on my lunch.

In the afternoon Simone and I went to look at cars because my boss has offered to get me a lease car.  We went to dealerships for Ford, Peugeot, Skoda, Volkswagen, Opel and Alfa Romeo.

At the Ford dealer, I had to try the new Mustang of course ;-)

The car looks awesome.

But inside it is surprisingly small and cramped for me (I'm a tall guy).

One of the only 2 serious options that we encountered were this Opel Astra Sports Tourer. Very roomy, very comfy, very nice design and very well priced.

The other option was this Volkswagen Golf Sports van. Very well build car, the seats are a fair bit higher than other cars which is very nice. Incredible amounts of leg room in front and in the back.
It's a bit more expensive though and I don't like the design as much as the Opel. Also we'd still need a roof case when travelling.

It's not gonna be an easy decision...

The tools / The tail

I received some more tools I need for the next job on my car. This is a tool that I use to determine Top Dead Center of a cylinder in my engine.

This bad boy is called a "Breaker bar" in English. In Dutch it's called a "Wring ijzer". It's used to rotate the crank shaft whilst trying to find TDC.

In the evening Silver was having fun chasing the tip of his tail...

That little black tip is simply irresistable.

He just has to have it... Except he doesn't have a clue it's actually attached to himself ;-)

The conference

Today my company was organising a conference about our financial software and everything that's new. It was at a place called "Apenheul" where during the right season you can go and see apes and monkeys live outside. That was all closed now though.

Because of the location, lunch looked like this :-)

I made a new friend too!

All in all it was a fun day. Afterwards we all went to have dinner at a colleagues house which was very nice.

The presentation

There was a presentation at work with the results of a questionaire about what we as employees think is good/bad about our work/employer. Very interesting. Some good points that will hopefully be followed up with some action.
