Sitting outfront

Vicky and Tony (Nicole's mom and dad) are in town. I met up with them together with my family. It was nice to catch up a bit.

Afterwards I walked in to town. I took old bread for the birds.

I went to this camera shop first to look for a tele lens for my Sony NEX camera but they didn't have it in stock and on top of that that charge 100 euros more than when you buy it online. I don't think so...

It was close to Mulligans so I went down for 1 pint.

1 pint turned in to 2 pints after I put a stool out at the front. Instant action.

Not all the action is good for you though...

I had my Sony camera with me so I made some pictures while sitting outside.

It was warm and lots of people sat at the water underneath the trees.

On my home I heard screaming and a group of girls was having fun with water bikes.

Driving

On our way to work this morning we passed this car with the plate "Venom 2". It belonged to a snake catcher according to the sticker on the side. The guy in the car looked like Hulk Hogan. It was funny.

My working day starts by waiting 10 minutes for Windows to start up.

While it was doing so, I got coffee. I'm happy with my little cheap coffee maker that requires hardly any maintenance.

The drones were out on their way to their master.

After work I caught the bus to Lawn Bowls.

I was skipper tonight meaning I guide my team mates to victory! Well, I did my best but we lost by only two points.

This is Tony. He and Gavin are our best bowlers at the moment.

I had a few excellent drives tonight. Using two drives in two different ends I turned 7 points against us in to 3 points in our favour. It was exciting.

Jack High

The fountain was working again!

This is my late grandpa's watch. It's a nice watch. It works on movement of my arm, it doesn't require a battery. Good stuff.

During lunch, the people around me were very focussed on their mobile phones. Maybe they were sending each other sms's.

Today was lawn bowl day again. The street where the club is is called Jack High Lane. "Jack High" is a bowls term used for bowls that are further from the mat than the jack. For more lawn bowl terms look here.

Our team, the "Bowls squad". We look like such dick heads in this photo.

Lets play Bowls!

Today was the kind of official opening of the bowls season for my team. Finally we could enter the green again, have a beer and bowl some ends. Karin seems to anxiously await what's coming ;-)

Gav doing a practise bowl. We were well on time so we bowled for almost 30 minutes before the real start.

My orange bowls stood out a fair bit between all the black and brown ones. The blue ones belong to Darryl and they're the only other coloured bowls I saw tonight.

Darryl (centre) with his female colleagues actually named the team "Dazza and his daisies". Hilarious. Richard(left), myself (less left), Tony (kinda middle) and Gavin (right) are the "Bowls squad".

We had a very good time and the bowling wasn't bad at all.

The funnelweb

Walking Mason the pason again. He likes walking through plants...

In Adelaide lots of wires are on poles. Phone lines, electricity and what not. I still have to get used to that image.

Along the way there was a tree with a couple of funnelweb spiders in it. Their holes don't look too inviting, do they?

I had another interview today. It was late in the afternoon and we had to go to play lawn bowls right after so we needed a quick bite. We went to the McD where I had a fantastic plain cheese burger.

here yours truly is doing a few practice bowls before the team arrives.

Some of mine and some of the other team. Can't be bothered explaining who's in which team, sorry. Oh, hold on, people holding a bottle are NOT in my team. yeah. Anyway, we all seem to be fascinated by something...

Here's my team mate Tony during the lottery draw after the bowls session.
