A taste of Amsterdam

In the morning the weather was shite. All day it's been rainy, incredibly windy and cold. About 17C cold. It is not funny.

Nicole needed some new shoes and pants. We went to Aaaaaaahrndale scum city central shopping centre coz there's a Big W store there.

Nicole was stunned by the fantastic (not) design of these shoes that made us think we were back in Amsterdam for a minute.

In the afternoon I did some shopping for myself. I got a soldering station, digital multimeter, a bunch of electronic components, a breadboard and some related stuff.

The wind speeds in Adelaide today were fierce! I was almost bowled over on my lunch break walking to Rundle Mall.

It was nice to see it raining though. Haven't seen rain like we had this morning for about 2 years.

@ Steve: Yeah, the rain was definately good. It's just that ever since the flash flood that caused havoc inside our flat during our first week here, we are kinda scared now when it rains hard again.

@ Kona: That's right boy, from Wikipedia:
Geek: A person who has chosen concentration rather than conformity; one who pursues skill (especially technical skill) and imagination, not mainstream social acceptance.

That's me :-P
