The circuit tester

There were clouds today. The predicted 39 degrees for tomorrow has changed into a feeble 27 degrees. Weather here is just as predictable as in The Netherlands. But! For wednesday they have predicted R A I N. Yes my little reader friends, how exciting is that! I am actually looking forward to it!

In Target (big chain department store) there were also already Christmas decorations everywhere.

When we came back we took it easy. That is actually no different from all the other days we've been here. Our routine is pretty much the same all day:
- Wake up between 8:30 - 10:00.
- Have breakfast
- Shower
- Be lazy (play with new iMac or re-arrange traintrack-plan)
- Around lunch (usually afterwards) we do something (Today we went to Target)
- Come home and have dinner at some point.
- Today we cleaned the flat (gardenhouse where Nic and I will live the coming months once we got it all ready)
- Do our blog and some other computering
- Sleep

Not bad, eh?

While cleaning the flat there was a bit of dicussion wether or not all electric sockets were grounded. So Nicole's dad, Tony, rocks up with some sort of alien device that can tell us if the socket is cool or not. This device has 3 lights that can burn in 6 combinations. At least, on the side there are 6 arrows with a text in it. 3 arrows are right under a light and 3 arrows are in between 2 lights. There's only 1 good arrow that says "OK". All others are unsafe. When we tried it, the red AND green light went on. In between those 2 is the "OK" arrow. Does this mean the tested socket is grounded and "OK"?

I tried to find information about this device online but was unable to do so. It apears to be made by a company called Swann International. If any of you (Kees, are you reading this?!) know how this thing works I'd like to hear from you!

This is the back of the device.

Everyone is looking forward to the rain on Wednesday. I myself am going to video it, just so Lachlan will have proof that it exists.

Was going to tell you about a nice little pub near us at Walkerville which has nice air conditioning, nice cheap meals and nice drinks (plus the odd bogan for company)... however, it burnt down on the weekend :-(
