The elections / The traffic jam

Today we had elections for a new government in The Netherlands. I voted for a progressive, social and very green party. They won 3 seats and went from 2 to 5 seats in parliament (150 seats total).

Due to a 7 car accident a major highway was closed for nearly 3 hours. I left work early but got stuck and decided to just enjoy the lovely sun in my new car which has a nice sound system. Because it was election-day I listened to a 24/7 news channel where the elections were being discussed.

It didn't take long before cars were illegally driving back down the highway ramp.

It took 2 hours to get to the right-most windmill. The total wait was 2.5 hours. People started walking their dogs :-)
