The family dinner

Around 10:00 in the morning. Around 35 degrees Celcius. Around the block with Mason de pason.

He stops and sits down when you say "stop" (mostly). He doesn't pull as much anymore as he used to. He pays more attention to where you are (looking back often). He seems to understand more that we are in control (and not he) but also that that's not a bad thing because we'll get everywhere he wants to eventually anyway. The whole walking thing is coming together quite well. It's most enjoyable walking Mason.

Picture taken around our neighbourhood to give you, the viewer, an idea of what our hood looks like.

And then it was off to IKEA to buy a little wooden rack for underneath the mirror.

Except that they were sold out which is a bit of a pity after driving for 30 minutes... At least we have airco in the car now so my eyeballs didn't fry in my skull.

I think their sign can be seen from the moon...

I found a hidden flower in our garden. It's bright pink, it looks sticky and sweet but very pretty too.

And I'm not telling where it is ;-P

43C was forecasted today. Or 41, whatever. I managed to photograph a good 39C.

In the evening it was family dinnertime. Here's Gav being enthousiastic as always when he's preaching. The unidentified person behind the arm is Vicky by the way.

Tony looks like he's ready for his next nap and on the right we see a bit of Vicky.

Nicole and Karin listening carefully... to the voices in their heads ;-)

We always make Mason 'sit' at each curb/crossing road. As soon as you stop he should stop and sit. Sometimes you still have to say 'sit' as you stop. I try to keep the same words to the same commands as otherwise he will get confused. You guys have done a great job and I really appreciate you walking him and teaching him the rules! Thanks Karin

@ ma: 't was een barre dag ja maar we hebben 'm weer overleeft!

@ karin: Aha, and here I was thinking he made big progress ;-) I shall use the "sit" command instead of "stop" next time.
