B.J.

This morning I went to my new employer and signed the work contract. I will be employed as a Senior Software Engineer using C# and .Net. It's very exciting and I can't wait to start. I'll have to wait a few weeks though.

To celebrate I took Nicole out for lunch in Semaphore. Well, that certainly never happened before! ;-P

On the jetty we had a chat with a lady and her beautiful Rottweiler B.J. He's an old boy who recently had a new tendon put in one of his back legs for AU$ 3000. Now that's love for your pet I think.

The view towards the sea along the jetty.

One of the jetty's pillars.

The beach was beautiful. It made me want to jump in. I reckon I'm going for some snorkeling when we get a nice day next week. There's no one here during the day!

The view along the jetty while walking back.

What a relief to go to a website that doesn't start with 'Fitna, the movie....' :)
So when exactly do you start your new job? And of course congrats with that!

@ Marion: Thanks! :-)

@ Jo: Thanks too! :-) The starting date depends on them moving office which is expected to be mid April but is not signed for yet. I'll start as soon as they're in the new office. I'm sure that will be in the 2nd haf of April though.

exciting vance, why do you have to wait so long to start? well enjoy it, who knows when you will be free like this again! Do you get many vacation days?

@ Sn33z0r: because the tiny place they're in now simply has no room for me. I'm getting 20 vacation days to start with. 3 more after 1 year and another 2 more after 2 and then 1 more any other year up to a max of 30 days after 7 years of employment. Bear in mind that Australia has about 3 times more public holidays than The NL and if a pub. hol. is on a weekend, it's postponed to the monday after.

What a shame they're moving out of that old building. Did you know it is a listed monument and, in 1947, the place where the South Australia
Council of Churches was founded?
Hallowed ground...

Oh, bij de weg, gefeliceerd natuurlijk!

Hey cool! Gefeliciteerd met je nieuwe baan:-)

@ Kees: 3l33t! ;-)

@ Danny: Cheerio! At the moment I'm on 1/3 of my required hours. 2000 (2/3 of 50 hours) minutes more and I can drive by myself. But I'm gonna take the bus into town. Not looking forward to unneccesary parking-in-the-city hassle really.

@ Ilse: Dank je:-)

BJ is rude! (think sexual)... hey but congrats on the job!

Can I ask your advice? I've also posted this to Nicole but all advice appreciated:

About my place:~ I'm getting a new room in the same house. Lots of clutter. Do you agree I should just leave what I don't want even if it's half my clothes etc. and just move "lite" into the new room?... Please RSVP ASAP I'm desperate for advice! Many thanxx

- I'm already packing. Weather is so much nicer, more space, more public holidays; I'm on my way over :)
Not. I'm stucked in rainy Holland. But I like my job though :)
