The flying chickens

Early this morning our walnut tree was raided by a group of Sulphur crested cockatoos. They lurve the walnuts.

They were quite relaxed about me taking photos. I guess they kind of know that people don't climb in the tree anyway.

After I dropped off Nicole I went to the supermarket.

When I came home I was greeted by a card my mom and dad sent me.

Do you ever get the red-tailed black cockatoos down your way? I've never seen them in the wild.

@ Angeli: As a matter of fact we have those here as well. Nicole and I saw them once when we went up to a look out point here called "Skye". At first i thought they were owls. Fantastic birds to see :-)

How cool to have such beautiful birds in your yard!

You're kind of a birdman huh vance?

@ Sneezer: I love all animals. But birds are just easier to see. Last night I saw another possum. Unfortunately it was chased by the dog but it managed to escape thankfully.
