Went into town as well. There are some nice looking buildings behind ugly modern shit.

Border Bookstore finally had the book I was looking for again. It's a book about programming software for Mac OS X. Apple has made it's engineering software available and now I'm going to play with it, har har har!

what a deceptive title.
I dont know of too many architects that can fit in the new crap with the lovely old existing architecture. esp in the nether regions.
