The drive

Winter is coming. Leaves are falling from the trees...

... except it was 40C today...

Nicole and I went for a drive through the hills again to check out the different little towns. We had a brief stop in Lobethal. This is the main street.

And this is also the main street but the other way. Lobethal is not what we're looking for we decided.

We drove past Melba's chocolate factory which is also a museum, well, kind of. We went in and fair enough, you can see a bit of the manufacturing but not much. It's more a really big chocolate shop. We didn't buy anything though, we were strong! ;-)

Outside there was an old steam engine displayed.

Made in Adelaide.

Driving around you drive past a few lakes. Most lakes are very empty. They may still look beautiful but they're not what I saw 7 years ago...

It's dry here.

We drove in the direction of Basket Range and there are an incredible amount of fruit trees there. It was an amazing sight. Contrary to popular belief, the apples apparently DO grow on branches that go UP ;-)

Want...

At home 2 pretty doves said hello. Really they wanted food but I'm in denial. These 2 actually had their nest with 2 babies raided 3 nights ago. They have to start over again now...

In the evening I started sorting my collection of electronic components. Stupid as I was I must have thrown a thousand euro's worth of components away in preparation for our move. Oh well...
