The Aluminium

Aluminium in deodorants increases the risk of breast cancer. As a fine set of boobs is not a requirement I advise blokes to also pay some attention. You can google for this topic and find out yourself. Anyways, in Europe they're still trying to keep the public unaware of this for obvious financial benefits which (like in a lot of cases in Europe) is found more important than your health.

Not in Australia, where deodorants make it clear that they do not contain any Aluminium.

And for the Americans reading this. While we are on the subject of Aluminium I'd like to take this opportunity to educate ALL Americans about a serious mistake in their society. The metal often addressed as "Aluminum" is actually called AlumiNIUM. That's right, it ends on -NIUM. "Aluminum" is WRONG and makes everybody using that word sound INCREDIBLY DUMB or UNEDUCATED!!! So, if you're American - and I know many fine American people, don't get me wrong - and you still say, write or even think "AlumiNUM", consider yourself rather stupid in the eyes of educated people that actually know how to spell the name if this soft metal correctly. Amen!

So yeah, it's almost christmas. The only way for me to notice unfortunately is coz the shops are starting to decorate for it.

Christmas trees and other christmas stuff is on display everywhere. It's a bit confusing coming from Europe, walking in 37C outside in shorts and then having to think of christmas. Even weirder is it to see people who were born here and have never seen snow in their entire lives putting up snowy christmas decorations. Why can't they make a santa wearing summerstuff here?

They also have something here called "Witlof". What would that be?

Here's Mason, Karin and Gav's dog. He's in his beanbag being a very good boy.

The above picture shows Gavin in his natural habitat. It must be his natural habitat I figured because he works the Weber like a true master. I swear, the roast he did for christmas 3 years ago was the best!

Vandaag heb ik het eerste kerstliedje gehoord... Ut word ieder jaar weer vroeger en vroeger dat ze ze gaan draaien! Moet niet gekker worden.

Hier is het niet meer zo koud, dus gaat het weer regenen. Groetjes daar:-))

Here's a link to some interesting information regarding the ALUMINIUM and ALUMINUM argument:

@ Sanne: You know that if you choose "other" for an identity when posting you can type your name? ;-P

You should be looking forward to some sun as well by now no? Got your holiday planned yet? Februari/March = perfect but it's going to be exceptionally hot this summer they think.

The RAM was swapped so my iMac now has 2GB of RAM available. hmmmmmm :-)

@ Ilse: Ja, lijkt wel al vroeger te beginnen terwijl ik juist had gehoord dat Sinterklaas weer in populariteit was toegenomen...

@ Nicole: Thanks for that! Very interesting reading material. So basically they spell it the "easy" way (-UM) in the USA because -IUM was too hard and too unpopular to be accepted by "the people". Pffft.
